Music fans heading to Glastonbury Festival this week have been advised by the Met Office to pack “sunhats and raincoats”, as the forecast predicts some unsettled weather for Friday and Saturday. Around 200,000 festival-goers are expected to arrive at Worthy Farm over the course of the five-day event with many arriving late tonight (June 21) to prepare for the gates opening at 8am tomorrow.
For those attending the event in Pilton and currently doing some last minute packing, you may be debating whether or not it’s worth packing those wellies and raincoats, in the event of a classic British weather downpour – well, the answer is, yes you should. But that doesn’t mean you’ll need the waterproofs all weekend.
